What's Amazing

When we asked our product innovation team what’s so amazing about this reformulated Oatgurt, they replied that it is “SO creamy!” For reference, this web writer doesn’t think they have used all-caps or exclamation points to describe a product, like, maybe ever (they are pretty no-nonsense about making awesome oat-based creations) so it is safe to assume this is indeed SO creamy! Which is definitely a step-up from the old formula, which was definitely not SO creamy!

What might be less amazing

This paragraph about our rapeseed oil is only here under “What might be less amazing” because rapeseed has a bit of an image problem here in the US. But just like in Europe, we use only non-GMO, low erucic acid rapeseed oil in our products. It is expeller-pressed, which means the oil is extracted and produced without the use of creepy chemical solvents like hexane. It also has a neutral flavor, which is key when you are an oat company making plant-based products designed to be easily swapped for the rather neutral flavors of dairy products. Anyway, maybe someday this rapeseed oil paragraph will be up there in the “What’s amazing” section. Fingers crossed.

HOW DO WE MAKE OUR OATMILKS?

Our oat base is just oats and water. But it’s what we do with those oats and that water that makes Oatly so special.
